AHCCCS, Medicaid

I do not accept AHCCCS / Medicaid.  However, for your information, I've included the process for someone with Medicaid to get Mental Health Services in Yuma County:
  • After applied for, the person receives State Medicaid.  In AZ Medicaid is called AHCCCS.
  • After getting AHCCCS the person is assigned to a Medical Health Plan.  Medical health plans include:  Mercy Care, AP/IPA, etc.  These do NOT cover mental health services.
  • If Mental Health Services are desired, the person can request Mental Health Services (call the number on the card).
  • The person is then assigned to an AREBA (a Regional Behavioral Health Authority).  Cenpatico is the only AREBA in Yuma.
  • The AREBA (Cenpatico) assigns the person to a Mental Health Intake Agency, he/she cannot just pick one of the six local intake agencies.  The six local agencies are:
ACTS        928-376-0220
CIA           928-376-0026
CPLC
928-343-9825
Horizon
928-783-3986
Superstition Mountain
928-344-9490
Yuma Treatment Center
928-344-4310
  • The person must then enroll with the Intake Agency for mental health services.  The agency will make an intake appointment within 7 days of requesting one.  The Intake Agency will manage their mental health care.
